We collect what it takes to write, proof and deliver your order.

We don't sell or rent your information, or your recipients'.

Recipients stay private

Their names and addresses are used for your order and nothing else.

What we collect

  • About you: your name, email address, phone number (if you'd like proofs by text), billing and shipping address, and your order history.
  • About your recipients: the names, addresses and message text you give us for your order.
  • Handwriting samples: if you order handwriting recreation.
  • Messages: anything you send us through our contact form, by email or by text.
  • Payment: handled at checkout by our payment provider. We see that you paid, but we never see or store your full card number.
  • Website visits: our site runs on Squarespace, which uses cookies and collects basic visit information, like the pages viewed and the type of device, to run the site and show us visitor statistics.

How we use it

  • To write, proof, mail and ship your order.
  • To contact you about your order: proofs, questions and delivery updates.
  • To keep your details and your handwriting on file so reorders are easy.
  • To answer your messages.
  • To run and improve our website.

Your recipients' information is used only to fulfill your order. We never add them to a mailing list or contact them for any other reason.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent personal information. We only share it with the services that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:

  • Squarespace, which hosts our website, store and checkout.
  • Our payment provider, to process your payment.
  • The postal service and shipping carriers, which see the addresses on what we mail or ship.
  • Our email and texting providers, to send you proofs and updates.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Emails & texts

If you give us your phone number, we'll only text you about your order. Message and data rates may apply. Tell us anytime if you'd rather get proofs by email.

We don't send marketing emails unless you've asked for them.

How long we keep it

We keep order details as long as we need them to fulfill your order, fix anything that went wrong and make reorders easy. Your recreated handwriting stays on file for your future orders until you ask us to delete it.

Ask us anytime and we'll delete your information and your recipient lists, except records we're required to keep for tax and accounting.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit who can see it. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your lists the way we'd want ours treated.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct it or delete it. Just send us a note.

Children

Our services are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
